Our Fellowship

Welcome! We are so glad you’ve found your way to Fowler Chapel. Whether you are searching for a spiritual home, curious about your family’s deep roots in Caulfield, or just looking for answers to life’s big questions, there is a place for you here. We are a church family built on generations of faith, dedicated to building God's Kingdom, one soul at a time. Our roots run deep in this community; before the chapel was built, local families gathered for weddings, funerals, and Sunday services in Caulfield’s one-room schoolhouse. With God's grace and through the diligence and perseverance of its members, Fowler Chapel has been a home for Christians since it was built in 1947. We invite you to become part of this living legacy. Join us this Sunday at 10 a.m. for Sunday School as we look at who God is, who you are, and how we fit into His plans. Come walk the floors your neighbors and ancestors helped build—we can't wait to meet you! *Note: Families are always welcome here—don't worry about restless little ones or crying babies. We love having the sounds of the next generation in the pews with us.

We Believe In Free Will

Everything that exists was created by the One True God and possesses intelligence and or instinct. God created the hills, the woods, and every living creature with purpose. Nature is not a god to be worshiped, but a beautiful system designed and sustained by the Creator. Every lower creature lives as it was designed to. Only Men & Angels were given the gift of free will by God, so that they could choose whom they would serve.

We Seek Unity In Essential Beliefs

“I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.” (The Apostle Paul’s letter to the followers of Jesus at Ephesus; Chapter 4, verses 1-6).  All true Christians share the same foundational (salvific) beliefs and need to maintain God’s unified purpose and connection with Him & each other. If it’s a group of people who belong to Christ, their foundation is to be The Bible.

We Value Liberty In Non-Essential Beliefs

We understand that there are different styles and flavors of worship. Some folks like older hymns, some contemporary music & others only acapella. Certain people feel they should dress their best, while others prefer comfort casual. Christians are free to worship God the best way they know how, as long as we don’t deviate from our core biblical tenets of belief, laid out by the Lord in the bible. Caution: If anyone begins inserting their own rules in between the lines of scripture, they have begun to create a different faith.

Statement of Faith

What We Teach At Fowler Chapel

The Holy Scriptures:    We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God, serving as our final authority in all matters of faith and life.

The Nature of God:    We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

The Work of Christ:    We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His atoning death on the cross, and His victorious resurrection.

Salvation:   We believe a person is saved by God’s gift of grace, through faith in Jesus Christ.

The Ancient Path:    We seek to walk the “ancient paths” mentioned by the prophet Jeremiah, honoring the historical truths passed down through generations, and following the model of the early church, as constructed by the Lord, Jesus- The Living Head of His Church, and His trained Apostles.

Sermons

“Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it.” (Jer 6:16)
